    History:

The Third-Westminster Presbyterian Church rain garden was installed with funding
from the New York- New Jersey Harbor Estuary Program, New Jersey Marine Sciences

this funding, three rain gardens were installed cooperatively by Future City, Inc. and
the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program throughout Essex and
Union counties. These rain gardens include Benedictine Academy, St. Benedict’s
    Preparatory, and Third-Westminster Presbyterian Church.

    Type of Runoff Managed:

This rain garden manages stormwater runoff from the Third West-Minster
    Presbyterian Church parking lot.

garden in June 2008. Community members and local businesses provided equiptment
and materials, donated their time and expertise. The installationof this rain garden
was featured in The Tidal Exchange Newsletter of the New York- New Jersey Harbor
