    Type of Runoff Managed:

This rain garden manages stormwater runoff from the Trailside Nature and Science
    Center Parking lot.

    Installation:

Approximately thirty volunteers, Master Gardeners of Union County, Rutgers
Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program faculty and staff were present for
the installation of this rain garden in March 2010.  Both top soil and sand were added
to the site after excavation, and river rock was used to slow the inflow of runoff from
the parking lot into the rain garden.
